Hooray for Big Girl Panties!

Loretta wore her big girl panties all day yesterday (at daycare) and kept them dry all day! WOOHOO!!! I'm so proud of her! It will be such a nice change to have only one in diapers. Caroline is doing the cutest thing lately. When she doesn't see you in awhile (like after a nap or night night or a day at daycare) she gives you these full on head hugs. She wraps her arms around your head and (for me) grabs onto my hair to keep me close and puts her nose right on my nose and stares into my eyes. It's so damn cute. It melts my heart, even when it involves a lot of slobber! I'm so smitten with both my girls.

Weight loss update: I'm down 5 lbs in four weeks. Still slower than I would like, but moving in the right direction. I've also been exercising like crazy. Did step for the first time on Monday. I'm going to try to get a work out in today, but not sure if that will happen. Tuesdays and Wednesdays tend to be busy, but I try to go for a walk or something. Thursdays are cardio kick boxing, Fridays are pilates, saturdays are spin and sundays are swimming. Crazy, but I'm feeling so much more energized these days. I've been searching the internet for tattoo ideas. I'm hoping to be "close enough" to goal to justify to myself getting my tattoo while in Floriday. I found the symbol for the celtic tree of life which I like quite a bit. I would put cherry blossoms for the flowers in the design. Not sure how I would incorporate my Loretta and Caroline details just yet though, but I'm thinking about a butterfly for each girl. GREAT NEWS ABOUT FLORIDA... Mom and Dad are coming up to watch the girls so John and I actually get some alone/adult time together. I'm so excited, I can hardly wait.

John surprised me the other day by telling me he is going to fly me to see Meg and Andy in April just after baby girl Blake arrives. I'm so thrilled. I can't wait to spend some time with my friend and meet her long awaited little girl.

Ok, wrapping up for now. I think I'll actually share this with a few people now. I think as soon as I share it I'll stop updating, but I'll try to keep it going.

A work in progress

That's how I feel lately, a work in progress. Always striving for improvement. Be a more patient mom, get back to a healthy weight, be a better wife. So, I've made some steps to help in these areas. The most drastic is joining weight watchers again. I did ww after Loretta was born and it worked well, so I'm back at it again. Slow moving, but still moving in the right direction. I'm also all about exercise right now. Pilates, Spin, Swim, Cardio Kickboxing, etc. Love it, love getting strong and slim again, but I feel like I have a long road ahead of me. But, I want to feel good about myself. I want to be healthy for me and for the girls. I want to make John proud of his hot wife ;o).

So, I've tried creating these before and keeping them up to date. I'm terrible - very little time these days, but I'll try again.
