Caroline is really turning into a creative and imaginative little girl. Loretta is our physical child, she'd rather run circles around the house aimlessly for the physical exertion than make believe or read a book. We are still learning what type of little guy Sam is going to be, but he's already proving to be a pretty typical little guy, complete with floor wrestling, car driving, tower crashing enthusiasm.
When the weather was still warm, seems like a life time ago, and we got home from school/work Loretta would immediately ask to go play outside on the swing set while Caroline would ask to stay inside and read book. She loves puzzles and coloring. With Loretta we have to remind her to slow down and take her time, Caroline's artwork looks more like a 1st graders while Loretta's looks like the pre-schooler's. Not that Loretta can't do it, she just can't be bothered.
What's really begun to stand out with Caroline is that she has an incredible imagination and can make up stories and fairy tales that she acts out for hours on end. She reminds me of Uncle Paul and Jordan like that, who could spend hours recreating battles complete with pretend sword fighting.
But Caroline isn't only our bookworm, our giving/feeling emotional love bug. She's also in love with her gymnastics class and has been placed in the advanced class (for her age) at the Y. She's attentive and determined and motivated. And she's quite good.
It's becoming clear to me that our sweet Caroline is changing and evolving into her own person right before our eyes and she is an amazing, funny, clever, smart little girl. She's also no push over, sweet Caroline can take care of herself and in the process, isn't always so sweet.
She may end up being the most well rounded of us all and while I can't take credit for the person she is, I'm still incredibly proud of her.
