Fluffy translucent clouds float over me,
In the shape of hearts, as far as the eye can see.

Sunset spreads across the western sky.
Colors like a painting done by a child’s eye.

My legs and arms have goose bumps from the tickling green grass.
Down the hill the blue lake’s surface is as smooth as glass.

An ant crawls purposefully through the dirt,
And a bee buzzes inquisitively near my flower red shirt.

My mind ponders lazily about this, that and the other,
Never staying long before moving on to another.

A smile hints at the edge of my lips as I make a silent plea,
To never forget, this moment is made possible, because I am free.

Free to wander and think, explore and dream.
Free to be who I am and to let my inner self beam.
